Loterija Slovenije and Lidl Slovenia were the first on the market to allow their customers to place their lucky numbers directly at the store checkout, which we introduced in our new campaign You can Cash-in on Happiness at Lidl.

The new year brought innovations in placing lucky numbers, merging the lottery world with the retail world—an idea that also shaped our communication. In the ads, some of the most common store products were emptied and filled with lottery balls instead.

Surprised shoppers found a carton of eggs labeled Luck on the Sunny Side, a bag of mandarins called Fresh Luck, and a jar of pickles named Preserved Luck. Instead of the expected products, they discovered lottery balls inside—delivering a memorable message that they can now place their lucky numbers at Lidl.

These playful products take center stage in online ads, outdoor billboards, and in-store displays, while radio spots capture the excitement of winning—right at the checkout.
